"Do what you feel in your heart to be right, for you’ll be criticized anyway."
Eleanor Roosevelt |
Throughout her childhood, Kristine was encouraged to express creativity in every way possible; through dance, the piano, painting, gardening and even through food.
She was also encouraged to not be shy about asking questions [The only stupid question is an unasked one], expressing her ideas and trying new things. The combination of her pragmatic and detail oriented mother, her “on the edge of your seat” father, and her grandmother who is deeply rooted in the traditions and culture of Shanghai have influenced a pretty unique individual.
Judging by the photo she has chosen to represent herself, Kristine is not the type of woman you would normally expect to find in a corporate office or in a board meeting with city and building officials or school board members. She is someone who knows her job and areas of expertise, and she knows them well. Kristine is a person who 100% loves what she does and approaches her work with the same enthusiasm, spunk and hands-on attitude she has with life outside of work. She can find inspiration, functionality in design and marketable applications in just about anything.
Kristine is the founder and leader of KaP Studios, a group of incredibly talented young adults who have a passion for life and exploration. The combination of energetic curiosity mixed with natural talent, and continual learning is what makes us a great team.
Kristine Suminski was born in Manila, Philippines in 1985 and relocated to the United States in 1988 with her mother, father and maternal grandmother. Though English was not her first language (Chinese – Taiwanese Dialect, Tagalog – Dialect of the Philippines) you would never know by speaking with her. Go Ahead, I bet you!
